ESP32-S3 Passive RF Survey Dashboard

A compact ESP32-S3 firmware kit that creates a local dashboard for passive RF visibility. It scans nearby Wi-Fi networks, BLE advertisers, and nRF24 energy activity, then fuses them into a browser-based 2.4GHz activity view.

HARDWARE YOU NEED

Bill of materials

Sourced separately — this is a digital source-code purchase and no hardware ships with it.

  • ESP32-S3 development boardAny ESP32-S3 devkit with USB works; 16MB flash / 8MB PSRAM variants leave the most headroom.
  • nRF24L01+ moduleThe +PA+LNA variant with an external SMA antenna gives the best sweep sensitivity.
  • 3.3V supply decouplingA 10-100uF capacitor across the nRF24's VCC/GND. PA+LNA modules brown out without it.
  • Jumper wires (female-female)For the SPI wiring between the board and the radio module (CE, CSN, SCK, MOSI, MISO).

What is included

  • PlatformIO firmware project
  • Embedded status API and web dashboard
  • Wi-Fi/BLE/nRF24 scan modes
  • Board spec notes and wiring assumptions
